Thrift Shop
Most military officers’ spouses’ clubs and enlisted spouses’ clubs have a Thrift Shop that is run on the installation. These thrift shops provide a way for the clubs to raise funds for their charitable activities. The revenue that is brought in goes toward many community and base organizations, as well as scholarships for high-school seniors and military spouses.
The Offutt Officers’ Spouses’ Club is no different. In addition to providing several scholarships, a portion of the Thrift Shop revenue is given to the Offutt Enlisted Spouses Club each month. The Enlisted Spouses Club also makes contributions to community, base organizations and scholarships.
Volunteer Opportunities
Excluding the accountant and cleaning contractors, the Thrift Shop operates solely on volunteers: retirees, enlisted and officer spouses. We are always looking for help, and no experience is needed. The Offutt Thrift Shop has a wonderful group of volunteers who love to see new faces. If you have a few hours during the week and would like to assist, please call. Help is always needed, and you’ll be raising money for a great cause. Childcare is reimbursed up to a certain dollar amount per month. Details are available from the Thrift Shop manager.

Consignment
- The thrift shop accepts consignments of up to 20 items, two times per week. Six of the 20 items may be clothing.
- Consignment contracts are $0.50 each.
- All items must be clean and reasonably current.
- Consignments accepted Wednesday–Saturday from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
- Withdrawals are accepted for a small fee from Wednesday–Saturday from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
