Welcome
Welcome to the Offutt
Officers' Spouses' Club!
The Officers' Wives' Club has
been around for over 40 years. It was started to help bring
together the wives of active duty and retired soldiers during war.
The OWC has been a great opportunity for wives in making new friendships
and having a support line when needed.
Today, Most OWC's have changed
their name to Officers' Spouses' Club. The OWC/OSC is a place for
both male and female spouses of active duty and retired soldiers to get
together and support each other. Over time the OSC has evolved
from a strictly social organization to a group that also focuses on
charitable and scholarship contributions. Our group not only
supports each other but others in the community as well!
The Offutt OSC offers many
opportunities for today's spouses: the chance to make new friends,
volunteering and having fun at our monthly functions. Our smaller
"special activities" groups include quilting, Antique Club, Bunko, and a
Book Club - just to name a few. We also run the Thrift Shop, a
place where bargains can be found! Revenue from sales at the
Thrift Shop goes toward our charitable and scholarship donations.
Last year we gave away over $21,000 in charitable donations and $7,000
in scholarships!! If you find yourself with some extra time,
please consider serving on the board or volunteering at the Thrift Shop.
You can have fun while helping others at the same time!!
Again, welcome to Offutt and
the Offutt Officers' Spouses' Club. We're excited to have you as a
part of our group and look forward to getting to know you!!
